Who Pays for What Services?
These services are normally funded by the Facilities Maintenance Departments
|
|
Maintenance/repair of buildings and the installed heating, ventilating/air conditioning systems, electrical, plumbing, and other special systems and equipment installed as integral parts of the buildings. |
|
|
Maintenance of utility plants and distribution systems for heat, water, gas, electric power, sewers and exterior lighting. |
|
|
Maintenance and repair of basic classroom furniture and furnishings such as window coverings, seats, lecterns, and blackboards. |
|
|
Maintenance of walks, roads and drainage; care of lawns, trees and shrubs. |
|
|
Minor painting of interior and exterior surfaces on a need and priority basis. |
|
|
Basic scheduled custodial services and refuse collection. |
|
|
General facilities planning support; staff design and project management. |
These services are normally charged back to the Department requesting the service or other special accounts or projects.
|
|
Maintenance and repair of special classroom equipment, special lighting or sound installations; office furnishings; laboratory equipment; and other departmental property. |
|
|
Renovations, improvements, alterations and new construction (capital items). |
|
|
Fabrication of cabinets, shelves, signs, name tags, and other miscellaneous items; furniture repair (except basic classroom furniture). |
|
|
Special custodial, refuse collection and minor moving services which are in addition to those normally provided by Custodial Services. |
|
|
Painting or decorating beyond level provided under basic maintenance budgets. |
|
|
Services required to set up for special events. |
|
|
Outside Architectural or Engineering requirements |
