The Facilities Maintenance and Operations organization is a service organization that provides high quality, integrated services to enable the University to pursue scholarship, research and teaching in service to society, the nation and the Church. The organization is divided into five departments:
- Building Maintenance - provides preventative, routine and emergency maintenance to all campus buildings as well as
- Power Plant - supplies heating and cooling to the campus and provides preventative, routine and emergency maintenance to the mechanical systems.
- Grounds/Fleet Maintenance/Pest Management - maintains the campus grounds year round, directs and performs snow removal, maintains vehicles and equipment used by FMO and is responsible for all pest - management.
- Custodial Services/Special Events/Recycling Support -provides cleaning services for all campus buildings with the exception of the Columbus School of Law. Provides recycling support and set up support for special events as well as performing light office moves.
- Facilities Service Center provides communication and administrative support for FMO and the campus community.
The University is a member of the Consortium of University's of Washington DC. and The Association of Facility Managers of Higher Education, Eastern Region (APPA)(ERAPPA).
